Keeping Tidy (Hahahaha! Never catch on!!))

UPDATE: This won the Tando Creative Challenge for April!  So proud!

They say it's a crafter's lot to work in mess, well clutter might be a better word.  And the more things you do, the more things you need to hand...so I decided to do a desk tidy.  I'm entering this into the New Beginnings challenge from Tando - being tidy is clearly a new direction for me!!

It's a Tando Creative blank, but I didn't want to add the musical extras, I've saved those for another day.

So, sealed the blank with DecoArt sealer, and painted with DecoArt paint.

I used the same idea as the Clock (see March 2013), where the pattern is stamped on tissue paper, then torn up, and decoupaged on.  This allows for greater variety, and has the added benefit of sealing in the design in one go.

Stamped the tissue with various stamps in Memento, Brilliance and Archival inks.

Glued the tissue paper to the painted blank with Matte Multi Medium.

I used a permanent marker to edge all the pieces, and the die cut pen holder - then filled it up!  It takes loads of useful stuff - thank goodness!

PS - since the original post, I am pleased to say this has been worth its weight in gold!!  So easy to find the everyday stuff, now!
